Warranty terms of Ausma Glas & Kozijnen

This is a translation of the Dutch text. In case of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.

1. General

Products and installation work are only covered by a warranty insofar as this has been agreed in writing, stated in the quote, or follows from the warranty terms of the manufacturer or supplier.

2. Warranty on products

Window frames, glass, doors, sliding doors and related products are covered by the warranty provided by the manufacturer or supplier, where applicable. Product warranty covers material or manufacturing defects that occur during normal use within the agreed warranty period.

3. Warranty on installation

If installation was carried out by Ausma Glas & Kozijnen, the installation work is covered by a warranty insofar as there are demonstrable shortcomings in the execution that become visible during normal use within the agreed period.

4. What is not covered by the warranty

  • normal wear and signs of use;
  • damage caused by incorrect or improper use;
  • damage caused by insufficient maintenance;
  • damage caused by third parties or external influences;
  • subsidence, structural movement or existing structural defects;
  • modifications or repairs by third parties without permission;
  • defects resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

5. Obligation to report defects

The customer must report visible defects or complaints in writing as soon as possible after discovering them. Where necessary, the customer must give Ausma Glas & Kozijnen the opportunity to assess the situation and offer a suitable solution.

6. Repair or replacement

If a warranty claim is justified, Ausma Glas & Kozijnen decides whether repair, replacement or another reasonable solution is appropriate. In principle, the warranty does not entitle the customer to full termination of the agreement or additional compensation, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
